Faculty

Studio owner & principal teacher, Naomi Roberts

Something extremely important to me as a studio owner is to protect the culture we have created here at NA Dance Co. and that each faculty member lives by our studio’s core values.

That is why all our faculty members have the one common goal;

to instil a love of dance in each student that walks through our doors

Each teacher has trained extensively in a variety of dance disciplines and knows it is our duty to give back and make sure the next generation of dancers is strong, educated and full of passion to be the best version of themselves.

Some of the best lessons we have learned as people have been imparted through dance and we don’t take our roles as mentors lightly.

Having been heavily involved in award-winning productions from a young age, Aaron decided to focus his efforts on tap dance in 2015. He has received training from The Forge Tap Project, Tap Dogs and other leading figures in Australian tap dance. After receiving an Emerging Artist award from the Australian Tap Dance Festival in 2017, he featured in The Forge Tap Company’s inaugural performance, Alpha, and co-created the tap duo Two Soles.

Aaron has experience with all age groups – from pre-juniors to adults – and all ability levels, having taught all over Sydney and Auckland, including for the Australian Institute of Performing Arts. He especially enjoys teaching improvisation, with an emphasis on the rhythmic aspects of tap dance. Alongside his technical focus, Aaron thrives on watching his students’ confidence and personal style grow.

He frequents tap festivals around Australia, continuing to learn from the best tap talent the country and the world have to offer in order to pass this knowledge on to his students.

Miss Kristi

Joined the studio 2020
Department RAD Classical Ballet
Studio venues Concord

Kristi started dancing ballet at the age of 4 at The McDonald College, training for over 15 years and completing her training on a partial scholarship. The passion for dance and music she acquired as a young dancer directly led to her pursuing a career in dance education whilst simultaneously completing her academic studies, and she has continued to teach and provide guidance to the younger generations, and children with disabilities, to this current year.

Kristi prides herself on her well-rounded teaching methods, which have a heavy emphasis on technique – stemming from her dance training as a child. In her spare time, Kristi loves to dance ballet wherever possible, from the hallways in her house, to spare studios in between classes. Her love and passion for dance and music are more evident than ever, and it is those same values that she hopes to instil in her students.

Miss Caitlin

Joined the studio 2020
Department Jazz, Lyrical & Adults Ballet

Caitlin began dancing at the age of 5 and continued training at her studio right through her teenage years. She began primarily focusing on competitions including competing internationally in the USA as well as doing various performances.

At the age of 14, Caitlin began to express interest in teaching and choreography and instantly fell in love with it. While assistant teaching she developed a
the strong focal point for the technical aspects of dancing particularly focusing on jazz and lyrical classes.

At 15 Caitlin then began taking her own private classes and eventually worked her way up to running her own classes and choreographing various routines for both competitions and performances.

At 17 Caitlin decided she wanted to enhance her training and went on doing 2 years of full-time dance resulting in her obtaining her Diploma in Dance (Elite Performance). Throughout these 2 years, Caitlin gained experience working professionally in the industry performing at various charity and corporate events.

Caitlins years of training have taught her to strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for her students.

Miss Madeline

Joined the studio 2020
Department Jazz, Tap, Acro dance
Studio venues Hassall Grove

Madeline started dancing at the age of three and hasn’t stopped since. From an early age Madeline was introduced to competitions and competed in a range of styles with her troupe group.

While competing Madeline gained a lot of confidence which she hopes to express through her teaching. Later on, throughout high school, Madeline started to learn and gain qualifications in Early Childhood. This has led to her winning multiple awards with both her theory and practical work. Madeline focused on learning about how children learn and develop as well as the best strategies for effective learning.

Combining her knowledge of both dance and early childhood, Madeline has created a program aimed at young children to help them develop necessary skills needed in life through dance.
